Interested in internships in art, architecture, and heritage?
Look no further!

Arts-based internships are open to undergraduate students at the University of Toronto through the Department of Art History. Offered as a course credit (FAH481H1), these internships provide advanced students with the opportunity to work with local organizations for a semester.

Placement listings for Spring 2025 are now live! Click here to access the list of opportunities.
Opportunities are available with the following organizations:

•    Art Dealers Association of Canada, Appraisals Internship
•    Art Dealers Association of Canada, Office Internship
•    Christopher Cutts Gallery
•    Corkin Gallery
•    National Trust for Canada
•    Olga Korper Gallery
•    Simon Bentley Fine Art
•    Society for the Study of Architecture in Canada
•    Toronto Society of Architects

Interested students should send an application by March 28, 2025 to Prof. Jessica Mace (jessica.mace@utoronto.ca). Applications should include 1) a letter of interest (including any relevant coursework or experience) and 2) a resume. Please indicate to which posting(s) you are applying. If you are interested in more than one posting, you do not need to submit more than one application.

Important notes:

  • Please note that given high demand for placements, students must apply to the course through the opportunities listed.
  • Only selected applicants will be enrolled in the course—students cannot enroll themselves in this course through Acorn.
  • As a learning opportunity, a wide range of skills, experience, and potential are considered in the selection process.
  • Since placements are for course credit, if selected for a placement, students must enroll in the first summer session if not already enrolled.
