Biography
Dr. Alison Matthews David is Professor in the School of Fashion at Toronto Metropolitan University. She has a PhD from Stanford University and has published on nineteenth and early twentieth century dress and material culture. She and co-founded and co-edits the open access journal Fashion Studies with Dr. Ben Barry. She is interested in making the field of fashion history more accessible to the general public.
