Description
Prof. Joseph Clarke invites faculty members, graduate students, and post-doctoral fellows in the Department of Art History to attend the second Architectural History Working Group meeting for the academic year.
This meeting will feature a discussion with Prof. Alice Friedman (Wellesley College), this year's R.K. Teetzel Lecturer in Art or Architecture. The Working Group will be discussing two articles by Prof. Friedman:
- “Queer Old Things: Image, Myth, and Memory in 20th-Century Paris”
- "Hiding in Plain Sight: Love, Life and the Queering of Domesticity in Early Twentieth-Century New England" (PDF)
The Architectural History Working Group explores research and teaching on architecture. Whether your principal research is on architectural history or you engage with it more selectively, your participation in this group is warmly welcomed.
Light refreshments will be provided at this meeting.
