Speakers
Description
It is a great pleasure to welcome three French graduate students from the Sorbonne University and the EPHE in Paris, respectively Thibaud Hébert, Hector Chapron, and Philomène Renard. Thibaud, Hector and Philomène visit us this month. Their four-week stay in Toronto is supported by an IDC scholarship as part of the generous gift that the Department of Art History received from a private donor to establish and strengthen art historical relationships between France and Canada.
Thibaud, Philomène, and Hector will present their research/work in progress in the Department of Art History, Common Room, on November 23, 4:30-6. Here is a brief summary of the work they will be presenting on:
Philomène Renard
Giovanni Bellini (c. 1430-1516) and his workshop: research on the organisation of work, the technique and the materiality
Thibaud Hébert
From educational heritage to the archaeology of models
Hector Chapron
