Visiting French Students (IDC)

Description

It is a great pleasure to welcome two more visiting French graduate students to the Department of Art History. Their stay in Toronto is supported by an IDC scholarship as part of the generous gift that the Department of Art History received from a private donor to establish and strengthen art historical relationships between France and Canada. Please join us on Friday, May 17th at 1pm for a short presentation by these students, focusing on their current work-in-progress.

Tara Chapron (Sorbonne)
"To contribute to the study of Ancient Societies Costumes : sources, lexicon issues and the current state of research"

Christopher Bakke (École Pratique des Hautes Études in Paris)
"The Pictorial Technique of Caravaggio and the Tools of the Technical Art Historian"

This event will be offered in a hybrid format, and the Zoom link can be found here.
