Ariella Minden receives Max-Planck Pre-Doctoral Fellowship at the Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz-Max-Planck Institut

The Kunsthistorisches Institut in Florenz-Max-Planck Institut has awarded Ariella Minden (BA, 2015; MA, 2016) a pre-doctoral fellowship as a member of the Department of Prof. Alessandro Nova. While taking part in the academic activities of the Department Nova, Ariella will be conducting research for her doctoral dissertation being written under the supervision of Prof. Giancarla Periti. Ariella’s project entitled “Artistic Production, Material Culture, and the University in Renaissance Bologna,” examines the rich visual culture of early-sixteenth-century Bologna and the city’s role as a dynamic site of intellectual and artistic exchange as facilitated by the international status of the University.
