Congratulations to Professor SeungJung Kim for achieving tenure and promotion to Associate Professor!
Professor Kim holds doctorates in Astrophysical Sciences (Princeton University, 2001) and Art History and Archaeology (Columbia University, 2014). Her main research interests include the idea of a “temporal revolution” during the heyday of Greek Classicism, an idea that will be further explored in her upcoming book Toward a Phenomenology of Time in Ancient Greek Art (Cambridge University Press, forthcoming). Her Korean language textbook Understanding Greek Civilization (Tongnamu, 2017) has already garnered multiple accolades, including the National Korean Book Award in the non-fiction category.
