The Northrop Drye Centre has awarded Marina Dumont-Gauthier (BA, 2012; MA, 2013) a doctoral fellowship. The Northrop Frye Centre Doctoral Fellowship is for one academic year. Northrop Frye Centre Doctoral Fellows will be expected to engage with students and the larger intellectual community at Victoria College and present a lecture or seminar related to their research.

Marina was a Graduate Intern in the Department of Photographs at the J. Paul Getty Museum (2019–20). She also completed a research internship in the Department of Photography at the Museum of Modern Art in New York (2017). Marina's current research explores the role played by female photographers in the wake of Argentina's photographic avant-garde and its subsequent development in the country, focusing on the works of German-born photographers Gisèle Freund (1908–2000), Annemarie Heinrich (1912–2005), and Grete Stern (1904–1999), between the mid-1930s and the early 1950s.

Congratulations to Marina Dumont-Gauthier!
