Art History Speaker Series Online

October 27, 2020 by Department of Art History

On Friday, October 23, the Department had its first ever online speaker series event. Dr. Heather Igloliorte (Concordia University) and Dr. Carla Taunton (Nova Scotia College of Art and Design University) discussed their co-edited book project that considers productive, decolonial, sovereign and Indigenous specific approaches towards the writing, exhibiting, teaching, framing, and theorizing of Indigenous art.

Despite a few technical glitches, it was a successful event with guests ranging from alumni, faculty, students, art historians, and the general public. A sincere thank you to Dr. Igloliorte and Dr. Taunton for agreeing to participate in this year's speaker series and for providing such an interesting and engaging discussion.

You can view the talk via the embedded video above and on the Department of Art History's YouTube page.
